As we have told you many times, the guys at Google want you (the user) to get the best possible response to any search you make using the Google search engine.
Why ? because the better results Google gives you for your search the less chance you will go and use an alternative search engine such as Bing or Yahoo or the myriad of other smaller alternatives.
More searches on Google means more advertising revenue for Google.
