Did you know that email has been around for approximately 40 years ? It started just as the Beatles were breaking up !!!
Since then there have been various services that have tried to improve email.
Most of our kids would have used instant messaging services to chat online and, these days, may of us use Facebook to do similar.
Not much has changed in the business workflow though and email is still king unless you are an addict of Skype or various other tools.
Well Google Wave blows a hole in this landscape. It is a veritable tsunami albeit a positive one.
Imagine being able to have an online realtime discussion with a group of colleagues into which you can insert media, documents whatever – and the whole ‘wave’ is stored as it progresses. So if someone new joins the wave they can access all the back items to catch up with the wavefront whilst they are taking part in the progressing discussion.
And all this can be done from any web enabled location, computer / device whatever.
